At Dragonville Interiors, we recently had the pleasure of designing, building and fitting a beautifully warm and elegant bathroom in Durham.
This finished space brings together soft neutral tones, warm wood-effect cabinetry and brushed brass details to create a bathroom that feels calm, practical and refined. The floor is finished with Covent Beige floor tiles, giving the room a warm and understated base. The soft beige tone works beautifully with the Light Casella Oak units, adding natural texture while keeping the overall look light and considered.
One of the standout details in this bathroom is the use of brushed brass finishes. The fluted knobs, high-rise basin mixer and freestanding bath shower mixer all bring a subtle touch of warmth and character to the room without overpowering the design. The freestanding Ovali bath, sized at 1690 x 800, creates a beautiful focal point and gives the bathroom a more luxurious feel. Paired with the freestanding brushed brass bath shower mixer, it helps make the space feel both stylish and relaxing.
The room also includes a rimless back-to-wall WC with soft close seat, keeping the finish clean, modern and easy to maintain. Above the basin area, a 600mm round backlit LED mirror adds soft lighting and a polished finishing touch. It helps lift the room, adding both practicality and atmosphere.
This project is a lovely example of how a bathroom can feel elegant without feeling overdone. The combination of beige floor tiles, light oak units, brushed brass details and soft lighting came together to create a space that feels warm, functional and beautifully finished.
