Complete Kitchen Transformation Durham
A recent kitchen transformation in Durham carried out by our team.
For this particular customer, we had previously fitted 3 bedrooms and converted their large bathroom into a utility room and an en-suite, therefore they knew the quality of our workmanship and reliability.
The existing kitchen had been inherited with the house which the owners had purchased, therefore, was not necessarily their ideal choice.
A lot of time went into the planning and design of this particular project, the layout had to be right and attention to detail was paramount.
The Dining Room / Kitchen Transformation
Firstly the project involved us removing the existing kitchen fittings, a doorway was then opened up through a supporting wall between the kitchen and dining room. Previously the dining room had been rarely used, therefore it was decided to make it an integral part of the kitchen. In addition, the design we created allowed us to maintain the dining room table as part of the furniture.
A separate dresser was built in order to match the kitchen and tall units which wrap around the corner between the two rooms as you will see from the images above. All the kitchen units, appliances including the granite worktops were fitted by our team. Furthermore, we carried out all the decoration work, this included plaster coving in the dining area and tiling the wall above the hob.
The Flooring Area
For the flooring in the dining room and kitchen area we used Amtico, this beautiful flooring has the ability to transform a room with a brilliant design impact. Two different styles were used to define the two different rooms and different floor levels.
To Summarise
This project certainly had a lot of emphases put on the particular layout for the kitchen transformation. The use of the kitchen area and the attention to detail was certainly paramount, with many hours going into the actual design work. The customer and our design team are really happy with the end result of the project it was certainly worth the time spent.
