A Full Home Project Designed Around Everyday Living
Some projects are about more than updating one room.
This recent Dragonville Interiors project brought together a kitchen, utility room and two bathrooms, creating a home that feels more considered, more practical and much more personal to the customer.
It was lovely to receive such a kind review from Jan Willoughby after the work was complete:
“What a pleasure it has been working with the entire team of Dragonville Interiors.”
For us, that means a great deal. A project of this size needs more than good design. It needs clear communication, careful planning and a team that treats the home with respect from the first conversation through to the final details.
Jan kindly said the team listened to her requirements and concerns, offered suggestions and solutions, kept her informed throughout the project and dealt with any snagging promptly.
The line that stood out most was this:
“They have made the house we moved into, into our amazing home.”
That is exactly what thoughtful interiors should do.
A Kitchen with Classic Detail and Modern Function
The kitchen was designed using Hunton doors in Porcelain, paired with a Graphite island to create a soft contrast and a strong central feature.
Grigio Corchia quartz worktops add natural movement to the room, while chrome Camden cup handles and round Windsor knobs bring in a classic, elegant finish.
The details were carefully chosen for everyday use too, from the Franke undermount Fragranite sink in stone grey to the Quooker round fusion tap in chrome with Pro3 tank.
Inside the kitchen, practical storage solutions including a LeMans corner unit and pull-out waste bin help make the space easier to live with day to day.
The kitchen was completed with Neff appliances, including a Slide & Hide oven, microwave oven, warming drawer, venting induction hob and integrated dishwasher, along with an under-counter wine cooler.
It is a kitchen that feels calm and refined, but still works hard for real home life.
A Utility Room That Works Beautifully Behind the Scenes
The utility room was designed to support the rest of the home.
Using Alnwick doors in Super Matt Reed Green, the space has a softer, more characterful feel. The Calacatta Marble compact laminate worktops keep it bright, while the Franke Belfast sink and chrome Davos J Spout tap add a timeless touch.
Utility rooms are often some of the hardest-working spaces in a home, but they should still feel considered.
This one gives the everyday jobs a proper place, without compromising on finish.
Bathrooms with a Hotel-Inspired Feel
The bathrooms were designed with a more contemporary, hotel-style feel.
One of the key features was the use of fluted tiles, creating a focal point that works beautifully alongside the fluted shower screen.
The suspended wooden cabinet and matching worktop help keep the space feeling modern and open, while adding warmth and texture.
Lighting was also carefully considered. A strip light running from wall to wall enhances the tiles, creates a softer mood and gives the bathroom that wow factor without making the space feel overdone.
It is a lovely example of how the right materials, lighting and layout can make a bathroom feel calm, polished and special.
From House to Home
What makes this project special is how the rooms work together.
The kitchen feels elegant and practical. The utility room quietly supports everyday life. The bathrooms bring that calm, hotel-inspired finish.
But more than anything, the project shows the value of working with a team that can design, manufacture and install with care from start to finish.
As Jan said, Dragonville Interiors helped turn the house she moved into into her “amazing home.”
A huge thank you to Jan for such a generous review, and for trusting the team with such an important project.
