Kitchen Fitters In Durham
Based in Durham as kitchen fitters & suppliers. Dragonville Interiors have carried out many kitchen renovations throughout both Durham and other areas of the North East.
This kitchen below was part of a whole-house renovation which was carried out by a local builder. We fitted the kitchen and wardrobes in the master bedroom as part of this overall project.
Open Kitchen Design
The idea was to have an open-plan kitchen leading into the dining room. The overall design of this project needed to fit in with the dining room as well as a functional workspace. Therefore, we decided to use a grey painted wood door to offer a modern more homely feel to the room. In addition, we added a beautiful quartz worktop to tie in with the rest of the theme, whilst offering practicality. Furthermore, we wrapped the cabinets around the corner to make it look like a double larder. It is actually a single larder we added the door to hide the side part of the tall oven housing. Heading into the dining room area we used dresser style cabinets adding a few glass doors.
The kitchen units were designed in a horseshoe style, we added a central hob/extractor and sink. A tall fridge freezer housing was also added into the overall design. Where the wall units wrapped around the kitchen to help balance each side of the window.
Master Bedroom
In the master bedroom we ran the fitted wardrobes across a chimney breast, this was to offer a more fuller depth hanging space to both sides. We also added shelves in the centre part for extra storage.
