Looking at planning a new bathroom?
Planning a new bathroom may be something that most people dread. Keeping storage, unities and space in the perfect balance can be something tricky whilst trying incorporate your style as well. However, planning your perfect new bathroom must start somewhere! And picking how you would like the room to look is a great place to begin.
A Shower room bathroom
Despite being called the ‘bath’ room, some us of just prefer a quick shower. If you find yourself feeling this way perhaps a walk in shower is for you! in order to begin this project, the whole room must be water proofed. This prevents any water damage as there is no usual shower enclosure. A water drain is installed near the shower head to prevent flooding and a glass screen is installed along the length of the shower to keep other utilities dry.
A bath/shower layout
Very popular amongst households that enjoy both a bath and a shower, the installation of both can be perfect. Despite the extra space that the two can take up. this bathroom often fits perfectly for families and is often found designed with lots of doored cabinets that can hold huge amounts of storage so that there is more room for all utilities to fit.
If you are struggling with space, try tailer your bathroom to how it shall be used. If baths are used less frequently than showers, opt for a smaller bath space. Or if baths are used more, a smaller shower, such as a coroner shower may be best suited for you.
The bath statement bathroom
Some people cannot go without a bath, and a shower is something that is simply not needed. If this applies for you a bath statement layout may be ideal. This often involves a freestanding bath that is the centre piece or focus point of the room.
As the room stands without a shower it often provides more storage room for cupboard, shelves and even accessories such as plants that can make your bathroom feel extra personalised. It can provide you with more creativity, or a more simplistic look depending on your preferences.
A shower over bath bathroom
You like baths and showers? But really cannot find the room to fit both of them into one space. Why not combine the two? baths act as the perfect standing space to shower and can be paired with either a glass screen attached to the side of the glass or a waterproof curtain that may even add a splash of colour to your room. Not only is it ideal for bathing, the shower installed over the bathtub can make cleaning that little bit easier.
