Fitted Bedroom Furniture, the smaller room
Although a small bedroom can be extremely comfortable and homely, it can be difficult fitting all of your belongings in and avoid an overcrowded look. However there are a few tips to help you create your dream bedroom, even if it is in a small space!
Large furniture to be installed first.
Large furniture such as your wardrobe and your bed shall take up most of the space in your room. Therefore, placing them in before anything else ensures that they will be able to fit and they are also in a position that works best for the room. If you are still browsing for a bed and wardrobe, take into account how much space they shall take up. If your room is all about sleeping perhaps a double bed with less floor room is for you, but for those who enjoy having more open space, perhaps a single bed would be more fitting.
Always measure your room.
Before purchasing a brand new set of furniture, measurements of your room is key. No matter how well you think you can visualise your bedroom, the feeling of your desk just not fitting by an inch is one we try our best to avoid. Measuring things also can give you and idea of what furniture to get, also helping making your shopping trip stress free and enjoyable knowing it shall all fit together.
Add small details last.
Once you room is mostly assembled, a few final touches may be missing. With the large furniture in place step back and look for spots that need a few extra decorations, this is where smaller furniture items begin to be added. This allows things to be placed in areas they are needed, and also limit the amount of clutter you have. Whilst rearranging furniture, move these objects out of sight to avoid temptation of including them in the initial rooms design.
